KOROUND Advances Vegan-Based Global Certification Strategy with DECORE

KOROUND, a beauty-focused company, is strengthening its vegan-based product strategy and building a global certification framework centered around its brand DECORE. Moving beyond a simple eco-friendly concept, the company is shifting toward a certification-driven product development approach designed for international market expansion.

From March 27 to 29, KOROUND participated in the “10th Vegan Festa & Green Festa” held at SETEC in Seoul, where it gained key insights into the vegan industry and certification systems. Through on-site certification booths and seminars hosted by the Korea Agency of Vegan Certification and Services, the company confirmed that vegan certification is no longer just a marketing element, but a fundamental requirement for entering global markets.

A KOROUND representative stated, “Vegan is no longer a choice—it is a prerequisite for building trust in the global market. Based on this, we are actively advancing a strategy that connects vegan certification with other regulatory frameworks, including Halal certification and Indonesia’s BPOM registration.”

In particular, KOROUND is applying vegan standards from the early planning stages of its DECORE product line, while simultaneously designing ingredient and formulation strategies that consider Halal certification and BPOM compliance. This approach goes beyond individual product launches, aiming to accelerate global expansion through a structurally scalable certification framework.

Currently, DECORE is building its lineup around products such as hand serums and cream mists, with plans to gradually align both upcoming and existing products with vegan standards through phased renewals.

KOROUND added, “Consumers today evaluate not only product performance, but also production processes and ethical standards. Starting with DECORE, we will continue to advance our vegan-based global certification strategy to establish a brand aligned with value-driven consumption.”

As the global beauty market continues to shift toward regulation and certification-led standards, industry attention is growing around whether KOROUND’s certification-driven product strategy will translate into tangible international market expansion.
